The recollections of my two visits to Lake Akan in Hokkaido and the last memory of Jonathan Harvey followed me to Tokyo where I moved 2013. I composed Aura in the small studio apartment where I lived, looking beyond the small shrine located just a few yards from my front window, imagining the open sky and calm surface of the water only slightly creased by the cool evening breeze. Aura is dedicated to the memory of Jonathan Harvey.
